The play "Behind Closed Doors" by Jean-Paul Sartre

This is a play about human passions, fears and agonizing self-discovery, where three characters after death find themselves in hell - a locked room from which there is no exit. There is no fire and no demons here: each becomes a tormentor for the other.

"What if hell is the others?" is the central question of the play, which turns the stage into a field of psychological battle, where the secret sides of the human soul, the thirst for power and the desperate desire for recognition are revealed.

Language of the performance: Russian
Age limit: 16+

Director: Klim Timanov

Starring:

  • Yuri Razorenov - Joseph Garsen, a journalist, a fugitive from the war and his own cowardice

  • Diana Kazakova - Ines Serrano, a postal clerk whose directness and cruelty become a torture for others

  • Yaroslava Levchenko - Estelle Rigaud, a socialite who hides terrible secrets behind her outward glow.

  • Dmitry Krechetov - The Corridor Man, an indifferent servant of hell.

Duration: 1 hour 55 minutes (2 sections, intermission)
