On September 26, 2026, the one-man show *The Catcher in the Rye*, based on the famous novel by J. D. Salinger, will be performed in Frankfurt. The production will be presented by the “From Rose Street” Theater Studio, affiliated with the Chisinau State Youth Drama Theater.

The play’s protagonist is Holden Caulfield, a teenager who perceives the world around him with keen sensitivity and rejects insincerity, hypocrisy, and the rules imposed by society. He tries to understand himself, remain true to himself, and find his place on the cusp between childhood and adulthood.

Over the course of 90 minutes, a single actor guides the audience through a stream of Holden’s memories, thoughts, fears, and hopes. Irony, dark humor, and dramatic experiences transform this coming-of-age story into an emotional conversation with the audience—about honesty, loneliness, the search for self, and the fear of losing what matters most.

Director: Alexei Shtyrbul. Arseniy Prodan plays the lead role.

The one-man show *The Catcher in the Rye* in Frankfurt offers an opportunity to see a theatrical interpretation of one of the most famous works of American literature and to take a fresh look at a coming-of-age story that remains relevant across generations.
