For the first time on the same stage will meet famous actresses Ekaterina Varnava and Svetlana Ustinova, presenting the audience an emotionally intense drama about the fate of iconic personalities of the XX century.
The play "Chanel vs. Rubinstein" reveals a tense confrontation between two outstanding women - Gabrielle Chanel and Ida Rubinstein. Their stories are intertwined with the fate of Prince Dmitry Romanov, creating a multi-layered narrative of love, ambition and influence on world culture.
Ekaterina Varnava embodies the image of Ida Rubinstein - the legendary ballerina, Sergei Diaghilev's muse and the inspiration for Maurice Ravel's famous Bolero. Svetlana Ustinova appears as Gabrielle Chanel, a style icon who changed the aesthetics of the 20th century and the creator of the iconic Chanel No. 5 fragrance.
The audience will be immersed in the key moments of the era:
- the history of the Chanel No. 5 fragrance,
- the birth of the musical masterpiece Bolero,
- the dramatic conflict between two great women,
- the complicated fate of Prince Dmitri Romanov.
Dmitry Kondrashov also takes part in the performance, increasing the dramatic tension of the production. The production brings the audience into the center of personal and creative clashes, revealing the characters through dialogues, music and emotional scenes.
