Within the framework of the Radio Dolin Live program the audience is invited to go beyond the usual perception of cinema as entertainment and look at it as a major social and cultural phenomenon.
During live performances Anton Dolin analyzes how cinema reflects and shapes social processes. Special attention is paid to the influence of cinema on politics, culture, economics and philosophy of the modern world. The key themes raised by contemporary films - from auteur cinema to large-scale blockbusters - are discussed: feminism, ecology, wars, social conflicts and transformation of values.
The format of the event implies not only a lecture part, but also active interaction with the audience. The program includes a review of the main films of the season: from Oscar winners to participants of leading international film festivals, from high-profile experimental projects to high-profile Hollywood releases. The audience will be able to ask questions and participate in the discussion, forming a lively dialog with the expert.
Radio Dolin Live is an opportunity to get an in-depth analytical view of the film industry and at the same time discuss cinema as a tool for understanding modern reality.
