Ilya Kolmanovsky: The science show “About the Bad” in Germany

This fall, renowned science journalist and Ph.D. in Biology Ilya Kolmanovsky invites children and parents to an interactive science show titled “About the Bad.” The performances will take place on October 31 in Cologne and on November 1 in Stuttgart in Russian.

“About the Bad” is a fascinating science show for the whole family, exploring the relationship between our brains and fast food, sweets, and other favorite treats. Instead of prohibitions and moralizing, the audience can expect a real exploration: why the brain succumbs so easily to temptation, how sweets influence decision-making, and whether it’s possible to learn to consciously manage one’s habits.

During the show, Ilya Kolmanovsky will guide the audience through a series of illustrative experiments and explain, in simple terms, the complex processes taking place in the human brain. This is an opportunity for children and adults alike to explore questions about nutrition, habits, and how the brain works, drawing on modern scientific knowledge.

Ilya Kolmanovsky is a Candidate of Biological Sciences, a science journalist, a science communicator, and the author of the popular podcasts “The Naked Digger” and “One and a Half Diggers.” His lectures and science programs have long been popular thanks to their combination of scientific accuracy, lively presentation, and a sense of humor.

The science show is designed for audiences ages 6 and up and will be interesting not only for children but also for adults. The program lasts about an hour and a half.

Children must be accompanied by an adult; a ticket must be purchased for each attendee.
