The play "Cherv", a dramatic production based on the works of Shamai Golan, will be shown in Berlin. It is a profound psychological story about a man who once died inside himself - and then continued to live.
The play raises themes of memory, war, inner trauma, love and loss of human identity. During the war, the protagonist disappears in order to survive. But is it possible to return to oneself if once the only way to save oneself is to disappear?
"Cherv" is a contemporary drama that combines a philosophical parable, emotional theater and a visual stage study of the human condition after a catastrophe. The production addresses the issues of inner death, bodily memory and the consequences of surviving violence.
