"The Sunline" is a contemporary therapeutic comedy in one act that blends sparkling humor with a profound exploration of relationships, trust, and human communication. The production brings together the powerful playwriting of Ivan Vyrypaev, the directorial style of six-time “Golden Mask” Award winner Roman Feodori, and the vibrant acting duo of Natalia Eprikyan and Alexander Gudkov.

At the heart of the story are a husband and wife who find themselves locked in their own home until morning. They must navigate a complex, emotional, and at the same time ironic conversation in an attempt to overcome a marital crisis. Over the years of living together, the characters have lost the ability to truly hear one another, and their habitual roles and accumulated resentments have turned into an invisible barrier between them.

Throughout the play, the audience witnesses how the conflict between these two people gradually transcends the confines of their family story. The production evolves into a reflection on the nature of communication, mutual understanding, and the loneliness of modern people. The symbolic “sunline” dividing the space between the characters becomes a metaphor for the distance each must overcome on the path to true intimacy.

Ivan Vyrypaev’s plays are known for their musicality, the rhythm of their dialogue, self-irony, and unexpected dramatic twists. In *The Sun Line*, the author masterfully blends comedy and drama, allowing the audience to laugh, empathize, and recognize their own life situations in the unfolding story all at once.

“The Sun Line” is a play about love, crises, attempts to listen to one another, and the search for mutual understanding. It is a story that makes you laugh, reflect, and take a fresh look at the relationship between a man and a woman, as well as at how we interact with the world around us.
