On November 10, a unique event combining poetry and music will take place in the historic synagogue of Cologne (Synagogen-Gemeinde Köln, Roonstraße 50, 50674). This evening the audience will be invited to plunge into the world of lyrics by Alexander Galich, David Samoilov and Alexander Volodin, as well as enjoy the immortal songs of Vasily Pavlovich Soloviev-Sedogo.
Vasily Solovyov-Sedoy (Jr.), a talented theater and film actor, will personally read for you the works of poets whose work reflected difficult historical periods. You will hear a heartfelt and sincere interpretation of the poems, as well as learn a lot of interesting things about the lives of these outstanding personalities, whose fates were closely intertwined with the fates of their era.
Vasily Solovyov-Sedoy will also dedicate his performance to the memories of his great grandfather's contemporaries, as well as tell fascinating stories about his own colleagues - famous musicians Maxim Leonidov and Alexei Kortnev.
In the second part of the concert, together with pianist Nina Howard, favorite songs by Vasily Solovyov-Sedoy and other composers of the Soviet era will be performed.
The evening will be hosted by Herman Moyges.
In addition to the concert, an exhibition of works by artist Viktor Kravets will be presented.
