"Swan Lake": Tchaikovsky’s legendary ballet performed by the International Festival Ballet and the Festival Orchestra

Tchaikovsky’s famous music, the imagery of white swans, and the expressive classical choreography make this production recognizable far beyond the theater stage. For over a century, the story of Odette and Prince Siegfried has captivated audiences, blending the beauty of a fairy tale with the drama of human emotions.

At the heart of the story are the young Prince Siegfried and the beautiful Odette, who has been transformed into a swan by the evil sorcerer Rothbart. Meeting her changes the prince’s life: he falls in love and strives to free Odette from the spell. Their story becomes a test of loyalty and a reminder of the power of love, capable of withstanding deceit and evil.

Performed by the International Festival Ballet and the Festival Orchestra, this story unfolds through the elegance of the movements, the lightness of the dance, and the expressiveness of the stage imagery. Audiences can look forward to a production in which music and choreography together convey tenderness, hope, and the tension of the struggle for love.
