About love and a terrible secret

The play "Einstein and Margarita" is a tragic love story of two extraordinary personalities - the outstanding physicist Albert Einstein and the wife of the Soviet sculptor Sergei Konenkov - Margarita. Wonderful actors - Alexey Serebryakov (Einstein) and Ksenia Rappoport (Margarita) - will present the audience a completely unexpected view of historical events and make them experience incredible emotions.

The events of August night in 1945 horrified the whole world. This night was one of the most terrible tragedies of the 20th century - the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. At this time, in his home in Princeton, the great physicist Albert Einstein was experiencing a personal drama.

The mental anguish that the genius feels from the realization of his involvement in the creation of the atomic bomb becomes absolutely unbearable after he learns that he will never again see the love of his life. Einstein's lover, Margarita Konenkova, informs him that after years of living in the United States, she is returning to the Soviet Union with her husband.

The farewell night of the two lovers, filled with tragedy, becomes a night of revelations. Tonight terrible words will be spoken and a terrible secret will be revealed.

Performers of the main roles - Alexei Serebryakov and Ksenia Rappoport - have not once taken part in common film projects, but in the play "Einstein and Margarita" based on the play by playwright Alexander Gelman "Almar", the actors for the first time appeared on the same theater stage. In this multifaceted story, shown through the prism of one night, the actors brilliantly embody the complex characters of their heroes.

The story, which intertwines personal dramas and global catastrophe, makes us think about the price of scientific progress and the responsibility of the scientist to mankind.
