Oleg Radzinsky: presentation of the book "Penitential Days"

On December 6 at 19:00 we invite you to a meeting with the writer Oleg Radzinsky, who will present his new book "Penitential Days". The presentation will take place in Berlin, in PalaisPopulaire on Unter den Linden. The meeting will be moderated by journalist Maxim Kurnikov. You will have an opportunity to buy the book and get Oleg Radzinsky's autograph. At the end of the presentation everyone will be able to ask the author a question.

The fate of the writer and Soviet dissident Oleg Radzinsky is full of dramatic events. He was born in the family of famous writer and playwright Edward Radzinsky and actress Alla Geraskina and is the grandson of children's writer Leah Geraskina. In 1982 Oleg Radzinsky was convicted under the article "Anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda" for his participation in the "Group for the establishment of trust between the USSR and the United States" and sent into exile, and in 1987 he was pardoned, but actually exiled from the country.

The heroes of Oleg Radzinsky's Moscow saga "Penitential Days" - the family Naydenov. They live their lives while outside the windows of their apartment flows another life, which is controlled by other people. It always seemed to the Naydenov family that they would be able to remain in their personal parallel universe, without crossing paths with the rest of Russia. However, Putin's war in Ukraine changed absolutely everything, including the life of the Moscow family. The war from the TV suddenly burst into the Naydenovs' peaceful life and posed important questions for them: should they run or fight? Or maybe try to rebuild what the war had destroyed?

Seating is free and does not depend on the ticket price.
