Simple Music Ensemble World presents: music from the anime "My Neighbor Totoro"

Simple Music Ensemble World is a chamber music studio that has successfully toured the world. The October 23 concert at the Berliner Philharmoniker will feature music from the cult animated film "My Neighbor Totoro" by world-famous Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki.

Simple Music Ensemble World was founded by French horn player Grigory Volkov, who united professional musicians from different countries who sincerely love music and are dedicated to their work. The ensemble performs in various ensembles, from trios to septets.

The concert "My Neighbor Totoro" will feature the incredible music of the famous contemporary film composer Jyo Hisaishi, who is called "the veteran of Japanese minimalism". It was he who created the soundtracks for the kind animated film "My Neighbor Totoro". Jyo Hisaishi as no one else managed to revive in music the fantastic worlds created by Hayao Miyazaki.

This world-famous full-length anime film has long been a classic of the genre, and so is the soundtrack by Jyo Hisaishi, joyful, giving a sense of lightness and bringing back memories of childhood. "My Neighbor Totoro" is a world to which adults have no access, there is no struggle between good and evil, but there is a fairy tale to which you want to return.
