In June, writer, poet and lecturer Dmitry Bykov will present a new lecture in Germany dedicated to the "Harry Potter" phenomenon. The meetings will take place on June 15 in Berlin and June 22 in Frankfurt. The event is designed for both children and adult fans of J.K. Rowling's famous saga.
The lecture "About Harry Potter" is a fascinating conversation about books that have long gone beyond children's literature and have become a reflection of modern reality. Against the background of discussions about the new series on the Harry Potter universe, interest in the original books continues to grow, and fans are once again looking for answers to the questions of why many of the events described by Rowling turned out to be surprisingly consonant with our time.
During the meeting Dmitry Bykov will tell why the story of Harry Potter has become a kind of encyclopedia of modern life, what parallels with the Gospel and world literature can be found in the books, whether the characters have real historical prototypes and whether it is possible to imagine Hogwarts in the real world.
Special attention will be paid to the topic of prophecies and predictions in "Potteriana". According to Dmitry Bykov, the world today is much like the times of the Battle for Hogwarts, and Rowling's works continue to resonate with modernity in a surprising way.
The organizers invite the whole family to come - the lecture will be interesting for both children and adults. Discussion of books about the Boy Who Survived will help different generations to take a fresh look at a familiar story and discuss important topics together.
