The plot is based on an old German legend about a beautiful girl named Odette who turned into a white swan. Only selfless and faithful love can break the spell that overpowers her. When romantic young Prince Siegfried arrives at the magical lake, he sees Odette, falls in love with her, and swears eternal loyalty to her. However, an evil genius stands in the prince's way, and his dream of love runs the risk of not coming true....
