Sergei Makovetsky in the play "Daddy"

Great news for theatergoers! Very soon you will be able to enjoy the brilliant performance of amazing actors Sergei Makovetsky, Maria Ryshchenkova, Daria Ursulyak, Polina Vitorgan, Ivan Brovin and Oleg Rebrov in the play "Daddy" based on the play by French playwright Florian Zeller. Such an event should not be missed!

80-year-old Andre - the main character of the play "Papa" - can't remember whether he was a dancer or, perhaps, an engineer. Does his daughter live with him in Paris and her husband's name is Antoine? No, no, she's in London, where she moved with her boyfriend Pierre!

André is lost in his memories, but firmly knows that he is not a weakling. He is a strong and confident man. Except that his consciousness fails him a little, blurring the lines between dream and reality. Memories slip away more and more often, if not completely erased, and their place is taken by fear - fear of losing himself, his identity, forgetting who you really are.

For his play "Papa," Florian Zeller, "the brightest young playwright of our time," according to The Guardian, won France's prestigious theater award, the Prix Molière. In 2020, the play was adapted, with Zeller himself directing the film Father. The success of the movie was not in the least provided by the game of Anthony Hopkins. For this role, he was awarded the Oscar.

The play "Dad" is a very emotional story of an elderly father and daughter, which is realistically lived on stage by Sergei Makovetsky and Maria Ryshchenkova. It is a story of love and understanding, of heartache and the desire to understand.
