Sergei Sadovoy at the Alte Operin Frankfurt

The stereotypical attitude to the accordion as an instrument for folk festivals has long since given way to the opinion that the accordion is an instrument capable of conveying all the musical nuances of a classical work when it falls into the hands of a virtuoso musician. Such as Sergei Sadovoy. On June 14, in Frankfurt am Main, you will be able to hear the multifaceted sound of the accordion in a new way.

Despite his diverse repertoire, the music of Johann Sebastian Bach is the greatest source of inspiration for accordionist Sergei Sadovoy, while recordings by the great pianist Glenn Gould open up a whole universe. It was Glenn Gould's unconventional interpretation of Bach's Invention in F Major that resonated deeply with Sergei Sadovy.

"My world was literally turned upside down. Every note touched my heart, and Gould's unconventional interpretation of the work resonated with me so deeply that I wanted to immerse myself in that world. That moment truly defined my artistic career," says Sergei Sadovoy.

Plunge into the extraordinary world of classical music in the virtuoso performance of Sergei Sadovoy.
