Liya Akhedzhakova in the play "My Grandson Beniamin"

This coming fall, fans of Liya Akhedzhakova in Germany and Austria will once again be able to meet this unique actress. The play "My Grandson Benjamin" has already been shown with great success in some European cities. And now the audience from Stuttgart (Esslingen), Munich and Vienna will also be able to enjoy the performance of the wonderful acting troupe and, of course, express their gratitude to the incomparable Liya Akhedzhakova.

The play "My Grandson Benjamin", so warmly received by the public, was staged based on a play by another amazing woman - writer Lyudmila Ulitskaya, who imagined Liya Akhedzhakova in the lead role.

The main character of the play - a young dressmaker Esfir Lvovna, who survived the Holocaust and lost her relatives, dreams of a large family, which will gather around the table in friendship, and the children in it will be called by the names of departed loved ones. And for this to happen, in Esther's understanding, her son must marry the right girl, whom she herself will find for him.

Esther brings her son a bride from her hometown, whom he rejects. The protagonist has to reconcile and reconsider her principles. Esther gives her unspent love to her daughter-in-law and her grandson, who is not even her biological one.
This dramatic story is imbued with notes of nostalgia. For some viewers this play is a reminder of the late 80s - the time of the decline of the Soviet era, and for others - a living illustration of days long gone by.

You will be able to enjoy the incomparable Liya Akhedzhakova already in September 2024.
