The band "THE KING AND THE JESTER" was founded in 1988 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) by eccentric musicians Mikhail Gorshenev (known as Gorshok) and Andrey Knyazev (Knyazem). Combining punk rock, folk and hard rock in their works, the musicians created a whole fantasy world of horrors, characterized by the aesthetics of the Middle Ages.

For its more than twenty years of existence, the band's work has attracted the attention of a huge army of fans with absolutely different musical preferences. Even those who do not consider themselves adherents of punk culture know the band's hits by heart. The musical world of the band "THE KING AND THE JESTER" is inhabited by witches, vampires, wizards, kings and jesters.

In 2013, Mikhail Gorshenev passed away, but his legacy is still alive today. For the first time on the big stage the hits of the legendary band will sound in symphonic performance. Thanks to unique arrangements created by the musicians of Simple Music Ensemble World - an international community of musicians united by their love for classical music - you will hear familiar melodies in a completely new sound. In Simple Music Ensemble World's unique project where punk rock meets classical, every note conveys the power and energy of the originals. Despite the fact that the band Korol i Shut will not take part in the concert, you will be able to make a real musical journey that will give you unforgettable emotions.
