Ekaterina Shulman and Armen Zakharyan: "Ekho" Christmas meeting

On January 6, Berlin will host the annual Christmas meeting of "Ekho" with the participation of political scientist Ekaterina Shulman and literary critic Armen Zakharian. The meeting will be moderated by journalist and editor Maxim Kurnikov.

The topic of the speakers' discussion this time will be the legends about King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. What are the origins of these stories, how did they transform over the centuries and what is the secret of their relevance for today? How do they continue to inspire writers, artists and philosophers?

Armen Zakharyan will guide the audience through the labyrinths of history, revealing the origins of Arthurian legends and their significance for world literature and understanding of universal values.

Catherine Shulman will analyze the legends of King Arthur in the context of modern culture, exploring their relationship to issues of power, politics and ideals. She will also discuss the reasons for the popularity of these myths in the literature of different countries and epochs and the interest they arouse among researchers and the general audience.

Traditionally, in the second part of the meeting the speakers will answer questions from the audience.
Seating in the hall is free and does not depend on the ticket price. If you want to support Echo, you can choose a more expensive ticket.

The event will be held in Russian.
