Alexander Zhurbin: anniversary concert in Germany

Famous composer and author of the first Russian rock opera "Orpheus and Eurydice" Alexander Zhurbin will perform his jubilee concert "Between Two Worlds" in Duisburg. Together with him, the concert will be attended by the poetess, singer-songwriter and TV presenter Irina Ginzburg-Zhurbina.

Zhurbin is absolutely accurate in capturing the vibrations of time: the music written by the composer for films and TV series reflect the era in which the action takes place. This was the case, for example, with the beautiful stylization of the song "Clouds in the Blue", written by Alexander Zhurbin for the TV series "Moscow Saga", to the melodies of the 40s.

Alexander Zhurbin: anniversary concert in Germany

Famous composer and author of the first Russian rock opera "Orpheus and Eurydice" Alexander Zhurbin will perform his jubilee concert "Between Two Worlds" in Duisburg. Together with him, the concert will be attended by the poetess, singer-songwriter and TV presenter Irina Ginzburg-Jurbina.

Zhurbin's name is firmly associated with the cinematography: Alexander Borisovich wrote music for more than 60 feature and animated films and TV series, including "Please Blame Klava K. for My Death," "The Hussar Flying Squadron," "Black and White Magic," "Uncle Au," and "Captains Island.

The depth of Alexander Zhurbin's creative talent was most fully manifested in academic genres: the composer wrote five symphonies, concertos for piano, viola, cello and violin and orchestra, two quartets, works of chamber music, a number of vocal cycles, oratorios and cantatas.

At the jubilee concert the audience will be able to hear famous pop songs by Alexander Zhurbin. The program will also include a presentation of the composer's new book.
