Nazareth
Powerful hard rock and heartfelt ballads
Nazareth is a Scottish rock band formed in Dunfermline in 1968. The band gained international recognition in the 1970s through its combination of heavy guitars and expressive melodies. The 1975 album “Hair of the Dog” marked an important milestone, while its interpretation of the ballad “Love Hurts” became one of its best-known recordings.
Nazareth’s music brings together hard rock, blues influences, driving rhythms and memorable guitar riffs. High-energy tracks sit alongside heartfelt songs about love, disappointment and personal experience. The contrast between a rugged sound and emotional openness defines the band’s character, preserving the directness of rock ’n’ roll alongside a strong sense of melody.
