5’nizza

5’nizza is a Ukrainian duo from Kharkiv, formed in 2000 by Serhii Babkin and Andrii Zaporozhets, also known as SunSay. Their distinctive sound centres on acoustic guitar, two voices and vocal percussion. Their official debut album, “Пятница”, was released in 2003, introducing their music to a wider audience.

5’nizza combines reggae, funk and hip-hop with memorable melodies and playful vocal phrasing. The guitar provides both harmony and rhythm, while the voices form a lively musical dialogue. Irony, tenderness and reflections on human experience sit alongside one another in their songs. The stripped-back arrangements leave room for emotion, words and musical invention, creating a rich sound from just a few elements.
