Blind Forgiveness. Astana Ballett Theater in Vienna

On October 5, 2026, the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna will host a performance of the ballet “Blind Forgiveness”—a large-scale production by the Mosaic Del Arte company, performed by the Astana Ballet.

At the heart of the production is a parable about the fall and rebirth of the human soul. Here, classical ballet and rock music come together not as opposing artistic genres, nor as a compromise between two traditions.

Classical technique, the expressiveness of contemporary choreography, and the powerful energy of rock music come together to create a performance in which the narrative unfolds simultaneously through movement, music, and the emotional presence of the performers. It is precisely this fusion of various artistic forms that has become one of the production’s key features.

The world premiere took place in Athens in September 2024. A full house and a standing ovation after the performance attested to the audience’s interest in this unusual format, which combines the academic ballet tradition with the aesthetics of the rock scene.
