Vasya Oblomov in Berlin

event-image

Vasya Oblomov became widely known in 2010 thanks to his satirical music video "Going to Magadan". Oblomov is one of the first independent Russian artists to become famous thanks to the Internet, bypassing radio and television.

Oblomov is one of the few Russian musicians who has performed as far back as 2012 at major protest rallies in Moscow and openly criticized the Russian authorities. In 2022, all of his concerts in Russia, as well as all those artists who have openly spoken out against military action, were banned.
