The play “GROMKIE” returns to Europe in the fall of 2026
In October 2026, Europe will host performances of “GROMKIE”—a new romantic comedy directed by Savva Savelyev. Due to popular demand, the production is returning to European stages, offering a profound and emotional theatrical story about love, time, and lost understanding.
“GROMKIE” is a contemporary drama about a married couple who have lived together for 25 years. During this time, the characters have faced many trials, and their feelings have changed under the influence of everyday life. An ordinary conversation about renovating their apartment unexpectedly turns into a candid dialogue about life, dreams, regrets, and an attempt to regain their lost intimacy.
The lead roles are played by renowned theater and film actors Victoria Tolstoganova and Maxim Vitorgan. Their on-stage partnership reveals a complex palette of human emotions: from irritation and exhaustion to tenderness and deep affection. The characters argue, joke, remain silent, and relearn how to listen to one another, rediscovering the forgotten language of love.
Savva Savelyev’s production combines elements of romantic comedy and psychological drama, creating a multi-layered and timely commentary on modern relationships. “GROMKIE” is a play in which audiences recognize themselves, their experiences, and the situations they face in life.
