It is unlikely that the owner of the henhouse Mrs. Tweedy and her husband suspected that the silly hens belonging to them are making a daring plan of escape. And it's the freedom-loving hen Ginger who's leading them. The birds can only sympathize, because they have little choice: to lay eggs and then get into the soup, or to try to get freedom.
However, some potential fugitives doubt their success: despite having wings, chickens can not fly.
But brave Ginger is not used to giving up! Her faith in success will help her and her friends find the freedom they desire!
And her dreams of freedom begin to come true with the appearance of a charming rooster Rocky in the henhouse, ready to stand up for the hens. But most importantly, Rocky shows the hens by his example that it is quite possible to swing over the fence. He gives hope to the hens.
