"Cinema and Propaganda": a lecture by film critic Anton Dolin on propaganda in Russian films

Do you love movies as much as the most famous Russian-speaking critic Anton Dolin does? From October 18 to 23, 2024 in Munich, Berlin and Hamburg you will be able to hear Anton Dolin's expert opinion and find out what hidden propaganda techniques are used in Russian films.

Anton Dolin is known to movie buffs as a former movie columnist for Vecherniy Urgant and former editor-in-chief of Art of Cinema magazine. Dolin currently hosts his own show on Radio Dolin, which is released on YouTube, and records the podcast "Film Stories."

During the meeting with the audience, Anton Dolin will share his expert opinion on well-known Russian films, as well as present his new book "Bad Russians: Cinema from 'Brat' to 'Patsan's Word,'" in which the critic explores how propaganda techniques are embedded in movies. In addition, Dolin will draw the audience's attention to fictional storylines in movies that have become reality.

You will have a unique opportunity to buy Anton Dolin's new book and get the author's autograph, as well as ask your questions to the film critic.
