5’nizza (pronounced “Pyatnitsa,” meaning “Friday”) is a Ukrainian acoustic duo formed in Kharkiv in 2000 by Serhii Babkin and Andrii Zaporozhets, also known as Sun. After ending their collaboration in 2007, the musicians reunited in 2015.
5’nizza’s music blends reggae, hip-hop, funk, and elements of soul. An acoustic guitar, two voices, and beatboxing form the foundation of their distinctive sound, creating a rich musical texture without a large instrumental lineup. The duo freely combines melodic singing, rap, and vocal experimentation.
“Soldat,” “Vesna,” “Neva,” and “Natyani” offer a starting point for discovering the group’s music. 5’nizza’s concerts provide a chance to hear these songs live and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of their acoustic sound.
