Ghibli Best Stories: an instrumental tribute to Joe Hisaishi

Vivalis Project presents a unique concert program dedicated to the work of the legendary Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi. The best melodies from Hayao Miyazaki's films, specially adapted for piano and revealing the beauty of recognizable soundtracks in a new chamber sound, are waiting for the audience.

Joe Hisaishi's music is an integral part of Studio Ghibli's creative legacy and a key element of Miyazaki's artistic universe. Despite their different genres, the composer and director share a common artistic language: both create worlds filled with emotion, symbols and visual metaphors. Hisaishi's arrangements convey the heartfelt depth of each scene, shape the emotional rhythm of the narrative, and give animated films the space and layering that have made them iconic.

The concert program will feature piano interpretations of melodies from such works as "My Neighbor Totoro", "Gone with the Ghosts", "The Walking Castle", "Princess Mononoke", "The Wind Grows Strong", as well as other masterpieces of the studio. Chamber performance allows to hear familiar themes in a new way, to reveal the lyricism, scale and subtle emotionality of Hisaishi's music.

Vivalis Project is known for concerts with international musicians, whose professionalism and artistic sensitivity form the special atmosphere of each performance. The project strives to present classical and contemporary film music in live, expressive sound, creating a truly unique concert experience for the audience.
