Scientific lecture by Ilya Kolmanovsky in Frankfurt: "How our brain makes decisions"

On March 8, Frankfurt will host a unique scientific lecture for adults with the participation of Ilya Kolmanovsky, a renowned journalist and candidate of biological sciences. In his speech he will tell how exactly our brain makes decisions, what happens behind the scenes of this process and to what extent we can influence our choices.

How does our brain make decisions? This is a question that concerns not only neuroscientists, but also ordinary people. Research shows that our brain is capable of processing much more information than we realize. Before a decision is made, it goes through a complex process reminiscent of bargaining: several forces are competing, each trying to exert influence and gain their own.

Scientific lecture by Ilya Kolmanovsky in Frankfurt: "How our brain makes decisions"

On March 8, Frankfurt will host a unique scientific lecture for adults with the participation of Ilya Kolmanovsky, a well-known journalist and candidate of biological sciences.

The lecture will cover a number of simple experiments that everyone can try out for themselves. What are the traps of the modern world that inevitably capture our brains? Why do we find it particularly difficult to make decisions in an era of change? How, based on scientific advances, to make the most informed decisions? And how to deal with all this in our minds?

The lecture "How Our Brains Make Decisions" is a science standup for adults from a well-known podcaster. But older teens will find a lot of interesting things to learn too!

Ilya Kolmanovsky is a PhD candidate in biology, science reporter, and author of the podcasts Naked Digger and One and a Half Digger. His work consists of studying scientific research on a daily basis, talking to scientists and visiting their labs (sometimes he participates in experiments as a volunteer). Ilya then organizes meetings, discussions and workshops to discuss what scientists want to convey to us and what we, in turn, want to convey to them.
