Javid Kurbanov is heading to Germany with his major solo stand-up show, “The Land of Our Childhood”—a warm, sincere, and deeply personal journey into the world of memories, family stories, and everyday situations that everyone can relate to.
Javid is one of the writers who helped shape the humor that an entire generation grew up with. He wrote jokes for Comedy Club, worked as a screenwriter for “Nasha Russia,” “HB,” and “Prozhektorperis Hilton,” co-wrote songs with Semyon Slepakov, and served as a writer for the legendary KVN team “The Guys from Baku.”
Today, Kurbanov takes the stage with his own unique perspective on everyday life. His signature style is subtle and observant humor, in which simple, everyday stories conceal relatable human emotions.
“The Land of Our Childhood” is a cozy stand-up show with a touch of nostalgia: about family, growing up, habits, small joys, and memories that bring different generations together. It’s a show where laughter easily turns into a conversation with an old friend.
