SKRYPTONITE — A Distinctive Voice and Atmospheric Hip-Hop

Skryptonite (Adil Zhalelov) is a Kazakh rapper, musician and producer. Born on 3 June 1990 in Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar region, he rose to prominence with his debut album, “Дом с нормальными явлениями” (House with Normal Phenomena), released in 2015 — a notable release in Russian-language hip-hop.

His music is defined by a distinctive raspy voice, deep grooves and atmospheric production. Blending hip-hop with elements of R&B, soul and electronic music, Skryptonite experiments with rhythms and arrangements. His songs turn personal experiences, relationships and stories of urban life into evocative musical portraits.
