Rita Dakota is a singer, composer and songwriter from Minsk. She reached a wider audience in 2007 through the television talent show “Фабрика звёзд — 7”, where she performed her own compositions. “Спички” is among the songs associated with her early career. Writing and performing original material went on to become the foundation of her musical identity.
Rita Dakota’s music combines pop melodies with pop-rock influences and emotionally expressive vocals. Her songs explore love, separation, personal change and the search for inner strength. Personal experiences become stories in which listeners can recognise their own feelings, while an intimate, conversational tone connects her lyrical ballads with her more energetic tracks.
